Sarkodie Grant A Quick Double With “Wake Up Call (Road Safety)” After Turning Up Days Earlier With “Devil In Me”
Highly decorated and sought after Ghanaian rapper, the leader of SarkCess Music Label, Sarkodie is out with a new effort, a record born out of tribute to late Ebony Reigns – amazing Ghanaian dancehall/afrobeat queen, famous for her hit songs “Poison” and “Kupe”.
Singing both in English and native Ghanaian language, teaming up with Benji, Sarkodie eulogizes the deceased while emphatically tackles the need for a better safety check on their country’s road.
The new song was produced by usual suspect, one of Ghana’s finest music producers, WillisBeatz.
“In this year alone, already 241 lives have been lost due to avoidable accidents from narrow roads and poor driving attitude. My checks at NRSC shows 2,096 Ghanaians died thru accidents and 12,655 persons were injured in 2013 …. Why? In 2014, another 1,856. In 2015 & 2016 together, 2,834 Ghanaians died through road accidents. This is more than HIV, TB and Hepatitis put together #DoubleRoads #RoadSafety,” – SarkCess general records that prompt his call for a better Road safety check, agitating for double roads construction.
