The queen of Afro-folk, the prolific singer-songwriter and guitarist Blessing Tangban popularly known for her hit singles “Pennsylvania” off her debut album “Free”, and “Grow up” featuring Mavin’s alternative artist Johnny Drille, has dropped the audio and visuals of her mash up cover of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car featuring singer cum music producer, Uduak E.J.

ABOUT THE ARTIST BLESSING TANGBAN
Deviating from the massive terrain of mainstream music is the singer, songwriter Blessing Tangban, an artist with a perfect blend of raw, pure, introspective, and emotionally stirring Afro- folk melodies. Her style of music is organic and geared towards expressing music in its most natural form. Her soothing and melodic vocals as well as her illustrative songwriting blend perfectly with her guitar accompaniment to deliver an experience that is truly magical.

Born and Raised in Cross River state, Nigeria, the self-taught guitarist, started her career in music, singing with a girl group called ‘Glorious voices’. At the age of 15 she moved to the United States of America (USA) to begin her tertiary education at Southern University at New Orleans where she also began her professional career in music. She holds an Associate degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Criminology.

BLESSING TANGBAN has currently released her sophomore album ‘’FREE’’ Which features a compilation of songs from her first EP NOWHERE GIRL, as well as brand new songs of which the audio and visual interpretations are being aired across various media platforms (Radio & Television) and also available online (YouTube): www.youtube.com/c/blessingtangban

Given her mind blowing artistic presentations, Blessing Tangban has performed in various concerts and musical festivals in Africa and around the world including the world famous Calabar Carnival in Nigeria, the Cross River state Miss Africa Beauty Pageant 2016, she also participated in the composing and production of the new Calabar Carnival theme song produced by one of Nigeria’s ace music producers’ Cohbams Asukwo, alongside others acts like BankyW, Iyanya, Sammie Okposo, the Sustainability, Enterprise and Corporate Social Responsibility Awards, otherwise known as The SERAS CSR Awards Africa 2017, Smyle Africa Music Festival 2017, Fusion festival 2017, Cross Rivers state Governors ball 2017 to mention a few. www.blessingt.com
