While we are yet to be detailed on the outcome of the court case between Kiss Daniel and his aggrieved record label, Emperor Geezy’s G-Worldwide Entertainment, the singer have subtly changed his name on social platforms
The legal battle between Woju singer, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kiss Daniel, and his former record label, G-Worldwide Entertainment has intensified as the singer, for fear of lawsuit, made a slight change in his stage name.
After obtaining a court injunction in late December last year which restrict the Afropop crooner from using his stage name and any song he recorded within his years with the label, a court case between the two party in March was adjourned to 16th of this month, and prior to the case, Kiss Daniel, probably to avoid any implication by the music label in court, altered in spelling, the stage name – from Kiss to Kizz.
While we awaits the outcome of the court case on May 16, Kiss Daniel took to his instagram account to officially make the announcement of his name change saying: “Kizz Daniel Omo Mi“.
In subsequent post, he clearly made known that everyone should now call him “Kizz Daniel” as he’s not ready to be slowed.
MOVING FORWARD , CALL ME “KIZZ DANIEL” _______@flyboyinchq @flyboyincfanpage
God bless you guys ???????? AMEN !
The changes has been effected in all his previously uploaded songs on several online music stores and streaming platforms, virtually avoiding any lawsuit and earning full claim of the song under the name.
